Michael Culp named Ohio Democratic Party Executive Director
Friday, July 15, 2005
Ohio Democratic Party Chair Denny White
announced today he will hire Michael Culp as
the party's new executive director.
"The Ohio Democratic Party is fortunate to have
Mike on board," White said. "He is a proven
leader with a strong commitment to the ideals
of the Democratic Party."
Culp, 33, serves as chief of staff for the Ohio
House Democratic Caucus. In that role, he
helped orchestrate the successful strategy that
lead to a pick up of three House seats on
election night in 2004 - the biggest gain for
the caucus in more than two decades.
"I'm excited about this opportunity," Culp
said. "The 2006 elections are a watershed
moment for Ohio Democrats. I'm going to work
everyday toward putting a Democrat in the
governor's office and to elect Democrats up and
down the ballot."
Culp officially begins as executive director at
the end of this month.
